About

Our spring meeting centres around the a West-Coast-specific workshop on bioregional food systems. We're looking forward to hearing updates from attendees as they look towards the growing and harvesting season ahead.


Lunch will be provided by a local caterer, courtesy of the ACRD. Please RSVP so we have accurate numbers for a delicious meal together!


The agenda for the meeting will be sent out to members and registrants two weeks ahead of the event. If there's something you'd like added to the agenda, please contact us Amy Needham, the Sustainability Planner of the ACRD or Katie Miles of Tofino Community Food Initiative.

  1. Welcome, land acknowledgement + housekeeping

  3. Presentation by Brooke Eschuk - update on the Area-C OCP

  4. Bioregional Food Systems Workshop led by Kent Mullinix, Victor Martinez of KPU and Amy Needham of the ACRD. This participatory workshop is about regionalizing the food system. 

  5. Roundtable updates from members

The Coastal Foods Roundtable exists to foster collaborative relationships, network-building, and synergy between members. When we meet together and connect, we reduce segregation and silos between land-based, marine, and

forest-based food industries by providing an opportunity for direct relationship building and allowing collaboration and cross-referencing. The CFR is a platform for primary producers and processors to engage with local government through staff and the Agricultural Development Committee of the ACRD
