We are growing gardeners
Gardens connect us to nourishing food, they provide spaces for play and enjoyment, and they create a sense of community. We believe that fresh, healthy, sustainably grown food should be accessible to all. Sharing knowledge and providing resources for growing, preserving and preparing food builds a healthier and more resilient community.

"Not everybody grows a garden anymore and it’s really nice to do things with the kids so that they learn how to plant a seed and see it grow, and eventually maybe pick the fruit, make a salad from the lettuce… [the school garden] is kind of a nice social setting in a town that really doesn’t have much for Seniors."
— JoJo, Golden Years Garden Club participant

"My students can identify many plants, know what plants need to grow, respect the garden, have tried new food they would not have otherwise tried (and liked them!), and have began gardens at home."
— Elementary School Teacher, Wickaninnish School Garden Program
