Tofino Community Food Initiative and The Space Tattoos in Ucluelet are teaming up for an exciting fundraiser in June!
You are invited to our Garden Flash Day, happening on Sunday, June 11th, 2023 from 11am-5pm at Space Tattoo Studio in Ucluelet.
What is a flash day? It's a one-day tattoo event where artists offer a unique list of designs for folks to purchase.
Four artists have designed beautiful garden-inspired flash tattoos for this special event. So, come down to Ucluelet to choose your favourite garden tattoo with a portion of proceeds from every tattoo going to TCFI programming, events, & school gardens.
Where? Space is located at 1645 Cedar Road (In Whiskey Landing, across from Ucluelet Aquarium). Once you've registered for a tattoo and signed a waiver at 11am, you can head to Village Green for the Ucluelet Sunday Market, happening from 10am-2pm. Then, return to the studio at your booking time to sit for your garden tattoo!
What? All tattoo designs will be posted over the next days on our Instagram and Facebook , so you'll have a chance to see what you can purchase in advance. Prices will range from $150-350 per tattoo up to a maximum of 5 inches. Please plan to sit for approximately one hour, but it depends on the size you choose. Additionally, wear comfortable clothes so that your artist can easily access the area you'd like to tattoo.
Bring water or snacks to stay cozy while you wait and remember not to consume alcohol for three hours prior to tattooing (it makes tattooing more difficult).
